Cockburn Wetlands Precinct
An education and interpretive centre set lightly over the wetland edge, built from board-formed concrete and weathered timber.
The precinct gathers community education, Aboriginal cultural interpretation and land management under one low, deep-eaved roof.
A boardwalk carries visitors out over the reed beds, framing views and keeping the sensitive ground plane undisturbed.
Materials were chosen to weather honestly and to sit quietly beneath the paperbarks that define the site.
